Job Title Assistant Manager

Position Description
  • Support the outlet manager to achieve the financial, service and other related goals that have been set for the outlet through diligent and proactive management skills
  • Work with team members in service and food or beverage preparation to formulate new promotional ideas that would impact the revenues and profitability of the outlet. Review operating results with the team and identify opportunities to improve performance
  • Monitor all cashiering procedures are processed in compliance with Accounting standards. Monitor and minimize wastage of consumables and maintain labor productivity ratios
  • Attend pre-shift meeting with staff and review all information pertinent to the day's business
  • Be prepared to work in a different outlet or assume a “hands-on” role where the situation calls for it Anticipate heavy business times and organize procedures to handle extended waiting lines. Seek support from other outlets where appropriate
  • Supervise, mentor, train, schedule and evaluate Team Members. Create a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and team member satisfaction
  • Liaise with kitchen and beverage preparation teams to maintain a smooth flow of service
  • Monitor guest reactions and confer frequently with service staff or captains to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Handle guest complaints and comments and deal with unexpected situations
  • Act as a host or hostess when required, taking reservations, showing guests to assigned tables, presentation of menus etc
  • Carry out any other designated duties as requested by the outlet manager
  • Be Willing To Work Any Day, Any Shift

Position Requirements
  • Vocational Schooling or Vocational/Formal Qualification in F&B / Hospitality
  • Certificate in F&B Service or equivalent
  • Three years experience in supervisory level in a 4-5-star hotel or quality restaurant
  • Knowledge of Asian and Western cuisines, their preparation and service
  • Fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Good Knowledge in Microsoft office and Microsoft outlook applications
  • MICROS / POS
  • RESPAK / Similar Reservation System
  • Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas
  • Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding
  • Respond to visual and aural cues
